Many years ago, Michael Joy experienced a real nightmare that no dog owner wants to experience.
Three of his dogs ran away from home, and two returned on their own – he never stopped looking for the third dog and finally found it four years later.
Sam, a four-month-old puppy, just disappeared. Her owner Mikhail searched all the shelters of the city, but, unfortunately, she was never found. Michael promised his wife that he would never stop looking for her. And he kept his promise.

During this time, Michael moved to Kentucky, but never lost hope that his puppy Sam was still alive. He also visited his old Georgia home regularly, hoping the dog would come home.
After more than four years of searching, Michael received a call from the shelter. “We have Sam,” said the voice on the phone. They scanned the dog’s chip and quickly located the owner. The touching scene of their reunion was filmed as Michael rushed to the shelter. Even the dog Sam has not forgotten his master.
Get tissues ready for this one…Sam was dropped off by police who found him. Kennel staff scanned & found a #microchip then contacted the number on file. Turns out, Sam was missing for 4 YEARS, from Georgia! His owner drove 8hrs to get Sam in an emotional #reunion.☺️#happyending pic.twitter.com/kGtaeN4iX1
