After her father was in the hospital for eight months, the woman brought her dog and thought to surprise him.

Simona Purkat, a 23-year-old Slovenian who works for the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, has been visiting her 58-year-old father Jose for the past eight months.

Jože has been receiving cancer treatment, and all this time he could not return home.

One of the missing persons at the hospital was the family dog Oliver.
