Meadows’ foster mother Shari Wilson expressed joy and surprise that she had 15 healthy puppies instead of 15. He noted that all the puppies had gained weight, were eating well and were doing well.

Meadow is a two-year-old Great Dane, father of three girls and twelve boys. Some of their names are Otis, Bailey, Fiona, Duke, Winston, Bruno and Buster.

Wilson admits that caring for fifteen puppies requires a lot of food and effort. However, he said he enjoys helping with such waste.

Reflecting on the delivery to Meadow between Tuesday morning and 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, Wilson noted that the veterinarian’s initial estimate was that there would be 12 to 14 puppies in the litter. However, Wilson Meadows is surprised when puppy number 15, who he thought was resting in a dumpster, appears in the yard.
“…I looked down and saw a little puppy.”

Since their heartwarming story went viral and was published in People magazine, these puppies began shipping from Amazon.

“Shelters are needed right now. So if you can contribute in any way, whether it be through donations or food supplies, we would welcome any support,” Wilson said.

Meadow has been in five homes since her 14 puppies were born in February. Unfortunately, not all puppies survived. Wilson mentions that this will be Meadows’ litter and his next home.
