In California, the family celebrated New Years twice after meeting twins with a unique birth story.

Alfredo Antonio Trujillo was born at 11:45 pm. December 31, 2021 at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas. However, due to the good times, he will not share the birthday with his twin sister.

Fifteen minutes later, on the night of January 1, 2022, his twin sister Eileen Yolanda was born.

The probability of having twins is about one in 250. But formally, the fact that Alfredo and Eileen were born in different years is a two million chance.

Mother, father, and the large family were shocked. Fatima Madrigal says there are no twins in the family.

The doctor who delivered the special pair called it one of the most memorable deliveries of her career.

“I’m glad I helped these kids survive here in 2021 and 2022,” he said. What a great way to start the new year, said Dr. Ana Abril Arias.

Madrigal honored the memory of his newborn son, who said that the girl could be a sign of hope at the start of the new year.

“Anything is possible, and every child is a blessing.”
