Doug is the largest potato in the world, at least Colin and Donna Craig-Brown are hoping to find out. The New Zealand couple said they were simply weeding the garden when they found Doug.

The current Guinness record holder for the largest potato is an 11-pound spud from England, while Doug weighs in at 17.4 pounds.

The Craig-Browns are waiting to see if Doug will officially win, and while they wait, Doug is resting in the freezer.
