The majestic mother swan apparently “died of emotional trauma” after a group of vandals threw bricks at her nest and killed a ram or unborn person.

This story is the greatest example of man’s disrespect for nature, which leads to tragedy.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the swan’s nest was located along the Manchester Canal in Bolton in northwestern England and without six eggs.

On May 20, a group of teenagers noticed stones and large bricks thrown into a nest on a special island. Mother hoped the eggs would be safe.

Only three of the six untreated swans survived the accident.

Local rangers and wildlife advocates watched the swan and nest. According to activists, more eggs have been lost since then – only one egg is left.

Swan and his father left the nest two weeks ago with impatience in connection with the loss.

But this was earlier this week when the mother swan was found dead near her nest after her irreparable loss.

“Actually, I can say little,” said wildlife activist Sam Woodrow in an interview with Manchester Evening News.

“She probably died of a broken heart, because she had a partner for life, and he was expelled by stress”

Losses caused shock in the community of animal lovers in the region, and Facebook user Charlie Tomo even offered a reward of £ 1,000 for any information pointing to the perpetrators.

Another local resident, Michael Mason, explains in the All About Bolton group on Facebook:

“I really do not want to do this post today because it comes with great sadness.

“I have tried to keep you updated on this swan who laid six eggs, three were destroyed by youths, she has then been harassed by dogs jumping in and harassed by a duck and moor hen and two more eggs were lost leaving her with one egg.

“Her mate left her on her own and sadly I was informed this morning she was found slumped in her nest dead. Just feel like crying as I have followed her progress for about 12 weeks.”

When locals inquired about the likely cause of the swan’s death, Mason answered, “To be honest I think it was a broken heart.”

It has been known for swans to die of a broken heart in case they lose their partners, especially because swans are intensely monogamous and tend to stick with only one mating partner for their entire lives. This is one reason why swans have been considered a symbol of true love.
