Friendship in the animal kingdom is sweeter, especially when it’s between two different species. The nursery has been taking care of 5 cheetah cubs at the Cincinnati Zoo since their mother, Willow, passed away a few weeks ago.

The cub’s mother died due to complications from a caesarean section, leaving her without care. Luckily, Blakely the Australian Shepherd came to the rescue.

The cub’s caretaker, Don Strasser, said Blakely was a true hero, taking care of the cub like a father. She added that the dog is a teacher of the cheetah cubs, teaching them to play and jump gently on the rocks. Watch the video below.
