On July 12, a wet deer was rescued by a man who he and his wife found alone during a flood on their property in northern Pennsylvania.
Kristen Beals, who shot this footage, told to Storyful her husband Russell found the hatchery while inspecting their property after a “terrible flood.”
“We didn’t get very far until we realized we had been flooded with everything,” Beals said. “At that time, my husband noticed the baby deer.”
In the video, Russell Beals walks over to approaches the fawn, takes it out of the water and brings it back to the car. Kristen Beals approaches home, her father-in-law saw her and her mother close to where she was found.
“Fortunately, the location was high, away from the flood waters,” Beals said. “When my husband released him, he started to follow him. It was so sweet. But then I was worried he wasn’t going to stop.”
