Jason Belishi’s rental car breaks down and gets him in trouble. However, he soon realized that this was a blessing in disguise. He was walking through the parking lot when he heard a few meows and it didn’t take him long to find the source. It was a small gray cat who was tired and needed attention. Jason named him Popeye, and almost immediately they became inseparable.

Jason’s first task was to take Popeye to the local animal shelter to see if the cat had an owner. Unfortunately, no one climbed on him, and the shelter staff told Jason to return Popeye to the street, saying that the cat would survive on its own. However, Jason couldn’t bear the thought of leaving the little guy, especially in his current state.

After fixing the rental car and heading to the pet store, Jason drove Popeye home. The little gray kitten immediately settled into the new environment, using the litter box and befriending Gus, the local corgi. Popeye even insisted on sharing a bed with Jason and Gus.

Despite his love for Popeye, Jason soon realizes that his busy musical life is preventing him from giving the cat the attention it deserves. Luckily, Jason’s friend offered to take it to Popeye if he wasn’t going to keep it. Although Jason found it hard to say goodbye, he knew it was for the best. He takes Popeye to a friend’s house, where he settles in perfectly, and his new mother constantly sends Jason videos of Popeye’s antics.

Over time, Popeye became healthier and happier. His new permanent home was full of love, attention and care for him, which was manifested in his behavior. She remained friendly and cheerful, and Jason continued his adventures thanks to regular updates from his new mom.
