Tyler Harrington pulls 82-year-old Bernard Perry out of a snow-covered ditch in Maine. Mr. Perry’s family reported his disappearance on December 22 and told authorities that he had Alzheimer’s disease and had left home.

Soldier Harrington found Mr. Perry in a ditch “with severe hypothermia and frostbite” and took him to the back of his car to keep warm until an ambulance arrived.
