For almost two months, the family dog Max could not find his way home.
He went missing in San Antonio, Texas, in May, and his family feared they would never see him again. That is until Perez received a call from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office about a dog roaming the area.
While searching for Max, Perez remembered the missing page with the dog lying in the substation. When Perez arrived at the scene where the dog was found, the dog was actually Max! He called home as soon as possible to check if the animal was a pet and was soon reunited.
No one understands how Max survived there alone, but his family was very happy to have him back. His two younger brothers were especially grateful for this meeting; When their pet was returned to them, they cried with joy and could not stop hugging Max.
Little Max is now safe thanks to Perez, as well as a good Samaritan who claims to have spotted him nearby.
Dogs are pets and it is heartbreaking to see them disappear. After the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook about Max’s miraculous reunion with his family, the post went viral and was shared more than 1,500 times.
The police were also happy about the reunion – Max was also in seventh heaven. Now he won’t have to worry about where to eat next time or sleep alone on the street.
“Max and his family have been reunited and, judging by the faces of the young men, things are going great for them,” the police department said on its Facebook page. “Thank you to Deputy Perez for organizing this meeting!”
He didn’t know whether to eat or be grateful… ❤??
